CASE STUDY
Client Overview
CRT required robust, fit-for-purpose retail fixture and storage solutions capable of supporting the varied demands of rural and agricultural retail. Store environments needed to accommodate everything from small accessories, tools and workwear to bulky agricultural products and high-volume inventory.
Retail Fixtures Australia partnered with CRT to deliver durable racking, adaptable gondola systems and specialist merchandising solutions suited to regional trading conditions. The Bade Ness CRT Warrnambool project demonstrates how an integrated fixture strategy can combine customer-facing retail displays, bulk product storage and efficient stock management within one cohesive store environment.
Client Challenge
CRT stores carry broad and frequently changing product ranges. The fixture system needed to support products of significantly different sizes, weights and merchandising requirements while maintaining clear customer pathways and an organised retail presentation.
The solution also needed to make effective use of the store’s available height and floor space, accommodate seasonal range changes and provide the durability required in a busy rural retail environment.
Key Challenges
- Supporting heavy, bulky and irregularly shaped agricultural products
- Combining customer-facing merchandising with high-capacity stock storage.
- Creating flexible retail zones for seasonal and changing product ranges
- Improving product visibility across a large and diverse inventory.
- Delivering durable fixtures suited to high-use regional retail conditions.
Our team worked with CRT to develop a practical fixture strategy that balanced strength, flexibility and product presentation while improving the day-to-day functionality of the store.

Our Approach
Retail Fixtures Australia delivered a coordinated retail and storage system configured around CRT’s product mix, operational requirements and store layout.
The solution included:
- Heavy-duty pallet racking with overhead stacking capacity to make better use of vertical space and support bulk inventory.
- Double-sided gondola systems with adjustable shelving and end displays for flexible centre-floor merchandising.
- Cantilever racking solutions designed to safely accommodate long, bulky and irregular agricultural products.
- Category-specific merchandising accessories, including wire baskets, dividers, dump bins, clip strips, display hooks and clear data strips.
- Specialist apparel and tool displays, incorporating clothing rails, hanging arms, heavy-duty hooks and display tables.
Integrated lighting and signage pelmets created a more cohesive presentation across the fixture system, while modular components allowed individual retail zones to be adapted as products, promotions and seasonal ranges changed.
Delivery & Execution
The CRT fixture package was supplied and installed with a focus on efficient use of space, long-term durability and operational practicality.
At Bade Ness CRT Warrnambool, the delivery included pallet-racking bays, double-sided gondolas, gondola end shelves and adjustable shelves. These were supported by an extensive range of brackets, hooks, baskets, rails, dividers and specialist merchandising accessories.
Key delivery elements included:
- Coordinated fixture supply and on-site installation.
- High-capacity racking with integrated overhead stock storage.
- Configurable gondolas supporting multiple product categories.
- Integrated lighting, signage and price-ticketing components.
- Heavy-duty merchandising accessories selected for demanding retail use.
The completed system combined retail presentation and stockholding within a consistent fixture framework. This helped improve store flow while providing the additional height, capacity and strength required to display CRT’s varied product range more effectively.

The Outcome
The CRT project demonstrates Retail Fixtures Australia’s ability to deliver durable, flexible retail and warehouse fixture solutions for regional hardware and agricultural environments.
By integrating customer-facing displays, oversized product racking and bulk storage, the completed solution created a more organised store environment that supports product visibility, efficient replenishment and changing merchandising requirements.
