Six Star Plus has supplied hot water and solar energy products to Victorian builders, businesses and homeowners for more than 17 years.
Growing demand for its services meant the business had outgrown its previous premises. Moving into a larger property provided the additional space required to support its operations and continued growth.
Before moving in, Six Star Plus undertook an extensive transformation of the existing commercial building. Internal renovations modernised the offices, bathrooms, kitchens and shared spaces, while external works included new fencing, painting, recladding and signage.
SThe result is a professional and highly functional new home for the business, with a warehouse designed to support the operation behind it.
The challenge: non-standard products need a smarter storage system
Many of the products held by Six Star Plus are large, tall or stored on oversized pallets.
At its previous premises, standard racking rail lengths and bay heights did not suit the dimensions of the stock. This made it difficult to use the warehouse space efficiently and created an ongoing challenge when allocating and managing stock locations.
For the new warehouse, Six Star Plus needed a racking system that would:
